Combinatorial Techniques for Performing Arithmetic and Logical Operations

Counting/coding blocks are presented in this paper as a means of performing arithmetic operations such as simultaneous addition of more than two words, and multiplication while keeping circuit complexity due to the combinatorial nature of these operatipns within bounds.
The logical capability of these blocks is also discussed in terms of their rela-tion
to majority organs. A cryogenic "batch adder" is shown and discussed. ,
